MSD Trooper
Rifle infantryA Meridian Security rifleman with a personal shield. The Consortium does not send people to brawl; this is as close as it gets.
They built the Ring and paid for it. Under the Orbital Property Accord of 2039 every component is their legal property, in orbit or on the ground, and whoever cuts it up is a looter. Officially they are securing unstable fusion cells and radiation sources. Officially.
A corporate private army with technology nobody else has. Every unit is expensive, precise and protected.
You win by never taking a bad trade. Small armies that outrange and outlast, strong at holding a position and at picking fights on their own terms. Weak against being swarmed, and against losing a fragile economy to raids.
One Consortium vehicle costs about as much as two or three of the League’s, and is worth it. Lose it anyway and it is a long way back.
Almost every unit and building carries a shield on top of its health. Damage lands on the shield first. Pull back for a few seconds and it recharges.
The economy flies. Drones ignore terrain and reach far fields fast, carry little, and break easily. Raids on drones are the Consortium’s soft spot.
A building that unlocks support from above on a long cooldown. First a scan that reveals an area through the fog. Later, a strike.
Took over the Consortium in the days after the Fall and kept it alive when half its assets were burning across three continents. Brilliant, cool, and convinced that only the Consortium can rebuild the world. Has not published the three hundred pages, and will not say why.
Field commander of the Consortium’s private army. Secures salvage operations, escorts the drones, holds the line at the fields. Does not ask what the company is hiding. Expects his officers not to ask either.
Inside the company, engineers and lawyers argue that the withheld pages should be published and the belt compensated. Varga calls them naive. The argument has not reached the public, yet.

A shoulder rail lance. Can reach aircraft, at half strength.
A lawyer with an escort. Walks into an enemy building and takes it over. “This is Consortium property.”
A shielded hover bike. Very fast, sees far. A machine gun for infantry.

A shielded hovercraft with an autocannon. Hit, pull back, recharge, hit again.

The shielded heavy tank, the backbone of every Consortium line. Slow, and hits hard.

Shielded guided artillery. Long reach, stops to fire.

A shielded laser anti-air platform. Aircraft only. Cannot hit the ground.

Flies straight over everything to far fields. Fast, carries little, breaks easily.

Repairs damaged vehicles next to it, for free.

A shielded VTOL gunship with rocket pods.

A shielded VTOL fighter, the fastest thing in the game. Missiles for aircraft only.
A shielded heavy bomber. Flies over its target and drops bombs. Needs the Orbital Uplink.

A heavy shielded hover platform that tears through buildings. Very slow, very expensive, and almost impossible to stop once it arrives. Needs a Salvage Terminal.
Command NodeThe construction yard. Everything starts here.
Fusion Cell ArrayPower. Salvaged Ring fusion cells: few plants, strong ones.
Salvage TerminalThe refinery. Drones deliver here.
MSD BarracksTroopers, Lancers, Claims Agents.
Fabrication BayThe factory. Vehicles and the Sovereign.
Maintenance HangarRepairs vehicles and recharges shields faster.
SkyportBuilds the aircraft.
Gatling SentinelShielded gatling tower. Infantry and light vehicles.
Cannon SentinelShielded cannon tower. Tanks.
Flak TowerShielded flak tower. Aircraft only.
Orbital UplinkSupport from above. Needs a lot of power.
Every structure is shielded. A Consortium base is a survey pad: concrete, floodlight masts, a beacon. Tidy, and cold.
| The Consortium | The League | |
|---|---|---|
| Army | Few, expensive, shielded, long range | Many, cheap, tough, short range |
| Economy | Fast, fragile drones; a few big fields | Robust crawlers; camps at every field; salvage from wrecks |
| Strength | Holding a position, winning trades, information from orbit | Map control, grinding fights, recovering from losses |
| Weakness | Being swarmed; drone raids; a lost army is a lost game | Quality duels; a slow heavy army; spread thin |
| The plan | Hold a strong position, strike precisely, deny fields with range | Expand to every field, wear them down, overwhelm |
